If you’ve never attending a Heartland film, I encourage you to do so. Unlike regular moviegoers, viewers are respectful and appreciative, and the films themselves are not your normal fare: They make you think, laugh and cry at a deeper level than a Hollywood flick. Enjoy!

Movies are such a powerful medium, and if you look beyond the Hollywood (& Bollywood, LOL) fare, then there are beautiful works of art out there that actually can be uplifting and entertaining at the same time. There are some good stories out there, if you take the time to go listen in the right places.

Agreed on all counts. Unlike some film festivals, Heartland focuses on moving stories – less so on gratuitous shock value, for shock value sake.
