Re-skinning Apple
A New Cat
Following CEO Steve Job’s keynote address at the 2007 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco today, Apple.com is demonstrating some of the features of OS X 10.5 Leopard, Apple’s new operating system due out in October.
Leopard includes a new and improved Desktop and Finder which will help users navigate and locate files faster than ever before—and maybe even have a little fun in the process. There’s also a new Dock and Menu Bar, ‘cover flow’ in Finder windows, Stacks, Quick Look, and other goodies you can see at Apple.com.
A New Look
Apple also updated their website by reskinning and streamlining their much-copied main navigation bar and redeveloping the online store layout to provide space for new products.
A New Platform
In other Apple news, its proprietary web browser, Safari, is now available for Windows Vista, and the long-awaited iPhone (available June 29th), will allow support for third-party developers to distribute applications via its own built-in version of Safari.
Whew, what will they talk about tomorrow?
